Replacement mast for 150m2 Skerry Cruiser Beatrice Aurore
The only 150m2 Skerry cruiser left in the world, one of the hidden pearls of the Stockholm Archipelago and one of the finest yachts ever to be designed and built by the legendary Plym yard. When her mast was up for replacement Juliane Hempel was asked to take on the engineering and calculations, ensuring the mast would be as light and strong as possible while keeping her full authentic appearance and hardware.
Built by Stockholms Båtsnickeri at Saltsjöbaden, the actual premises of the old Plym yard, the mast was CNC routed, one of the first, if not the first wooden mast of this size to be profiled with that technology.
A project which combined the best of both worlds and the finest possible mast for a uniquely beautiful yacht.
