Wood supply for Star Class masts, decks and hull planking

This 1911 design had a long run as preeminent Olympic Class and today this hyper sensitive, demanding and complex boat continues to provide the racing which appeals to the world’s best sailors. New, state of the art boats continue to be built but meanwhile there is a resurgence of the old wooden vintage starts. Old boats are located and restored to former glory, the stories are relived and these boats are raced hard again with wooden rigs.

Touchwood has supplied the wood for many new Star masts to the designs of legends like Henri Rasmussen, Duarte Bello and others. We also supply quarter sawn spruce for the decks and cedar for the hull planking. So, if you have a Star project then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
