Int. 12-Metre Nini Anker
It was the vision of Oliver Berking to build Int. 12-Metre designed in 1940 by the master of lines, Johan Anker. Due to the outbreak of war she was not built, until, Oliver laid his eyes on the design and he immediately recognized a masterpiece. So strong was his conviction that the right buyer would come if he would just started to build her that he did just that. And, like a self-fulfilling prophesy, so it happened.
Nini Anker was finished and rigged with an extraordinary Sitka spruce racing mast designed by the worlds #1 spar designer Juliane Hempel from Radolfzell Germany. The result can only be described as a stunningly beautiful tribute to the genius of Johan Anker. At Robbe Berking Classics in Flensburg only the best is good enough and as you look at the photos the workmanship will just blow you away. And she is fast beyond doubt, able to win races during the 2021 World Championships in Helsinki.
